Shrink wrap packaging is detrimental to the recycling industry in South Africa because the bottles can’t be easily ‘de-sleeved’ for recycling. We encourage consumers to avoid products packaged with shrink labels - consider the consequences of your purchases. And we also ask producers and grocery retailers to consider alternatives to shrink wrapping. Recycling starts at the packaging source.
